Daily Scrum

Time Boxed to 15 minutes regardless of the number of members attending.

  • Meetings held at the same place every workday and at the same time.
  • All team members required to attend
  • Anyone unable to attend must be present by phone or assign a stand in responsible for getting the info to the absentee member.
  • Team members must be prompt. 1$ fine paid immediately to the ScrumMaster.
  • ScrumMaster begins with the person on the left and goes around to each person in turn.
  • Each Team Member only responds to each of three questions.
    • What has been done since the last Daily Scrum to advance the project?
    • What will you do between the last Daily Scrum and the next to advance the project?
    • What stands in your way from performing your work as effectively as possible?
  • ScrumMaster is responsible for controlling the Team Members reports to avoid gossip, digression, analysis, design, problem discussion, and issues. He must keep things moving along.
  • Only one Team Member talks at a time. No side conversations.
  • If an issue is presented that interests other Members, a Member can immediately arrange for a meeting for all interested parties after the Daily Scrum meeting.
  • Chickens are not allowed to become obtrusive in any way during the meeting.
  • Chickens stand on the periphery of the meeting. Team Members occupy the center.
  • Chicken attendance can be limited on the discretion of the ScrumMaster.
  • Chickens are not allowed to talk or interact with the Team Members after the meeting.
  • Pigs or chickens can be removed or moved from the Team, respectively.
