Managing Change - It's What We Do

Managing Change It's what we do.The pace at which we can accomodate change is what governs its' rate of implementation. When a new technology first hits the mainstream it tends to take on a familiar form. (Electronic Paper) Email -> Memos, Faxes Web browsers -> Text Processor, Document Viewer Collaborative Tools -> Office SuiteThe next stage is expressed in novel forms, more appropriate to the essential quality of the innovation. Our improving comfort level fosters new ways of working. (Digital from creation to consumption)

Why Drupal? (What is a CMS anyway?)

The New Web Reality
Online brochures are no longer adequate to capture your customers' attention, community building is what's required today. If you think about it,  what are your core customers but your own 'Community'. [ToDo: More on Community]

New Tools To Solve Old Problems

New Tech
Today, November 16th, is the 15th anniversary of the first web page. Since 1990 internet technology has made astounding advances. The hype is thankfully over and in the last few years the web has quietly made good on many of its' early promises.

The purpose of this discussion is to bring some of these advances to your attention and show how your business can benefit.

Old Problems
Reaching new customers and keeping existing ones are central activities to the long term health of any company. Gettings leads is quick and easy compared to the time spent building productive relationships with those customers. New communication and productivity tools are enabling businesses to more easily identify and highlight their differentiating corporate values.

Collaborate To Compete

How much effort is spent in business adapting users to productivity tools never designed for team use? [ToDo: get some numbers]

Simply put, collaboration and dissemination tools should adapt to user needs easily and cost effectively. Open Source software can do this and more.

Static Websites Are History

Yep, that's right, static sites are history, however, still quite useful.

If your business is unconcerned with new customers, customers under 35, has no online aspirations, or rarely changes - then continue doing as you have been since 1994.

For the rest of us, there's a world of innovation going on out there. Jump in, see how it feels... have fun!

Email Is Not Mail

Mail is a wonderful thing.

Send a piece of paper to a friend. Write it by hand it if you're feeling especially nostalgic. Pay almost half a dollar. Lick a stamp. Get an annoying paper cut on your tongue on the flap. Wait one to six days for earliest response.

Mail is really bad for timely conversations, great for cards and such, irreplacable if you endeavor to be a person of letters.

No thanks.
